Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Making your own syrups is so satisfying! They have simple ingredients and can be used on so many things. Whether adding to a cup of strong coffee or drizzling over pumpkin pancakes, this Pumpkin Spice Syrup is full of all the warmth of the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk until sugar has melted and mixture has thickened. It will coat the back of a spoon, but not be super thick.
  2. At this stage, whisk in the baking soda.
  3. All the syrup to cool slightly before serving.
