Cornell Chicken Marinade

This Cornell chicken marinade recipe is a lovely blend of oil, vinegar, poultry seasoning, egg, salt, and pepper. Your chicken will love you for this basting sauce, and so will the family.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Whisk egg in a medium bowl. Gradually drizzle in oil while continuing to whisk until well combined and emulsified. Whisk in vinegar, salt, poultry seasoning, and pepper.
  2. Set some sauce aside for basting while grilling; refrigerate until ready to use. Marinate chicken with remaining sauce in a shallow baking dish; cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
